What we donate
- Rental gift certificates. Redeemable for any of our standard Kansas City rental categories — mobility scooter, wheelchair, transport chair, knee scooter, or rollator — for a specified duration. Standard silent-auction / giveaway denominations are 3-day, 1-week, and 1-month rentals.
- On-site rental presence. For large events, we can bring a small fleet of scooters to the venue free for attendee use during event hours. Better-suited as a sponsorship, actually; see our sponsorships page for that request path.
- Direct rental donation to a specific beneficiary. When a nonprofit program is serving a specific Kansas City family or individual who needs temporary mobility equipment, we can donate the rental directly to the beneficiary.
Who qualifies
We prioritize requests that fit one or more of these:
- Kansas City metro nonprofits. Registered 501(c)(3)s operating in the KC metro, Northeast Kansas, or Northwest Missouri.
- Veteran-focused organizations. VFW posts, American Legion chapters, veteran family-support nonprofits, veterans-wellness programs.
- Senior-services nonprofits. Senior center fundraisers, aging-in-place programs, hospice and rehabilitation-adjacent nonprofits, caregiver support networks.
- Accessibility-advocacy programs. ADA-education programs, mobility-equipment accessibility coalitions, disability-community events.
- School and community fundraisers. PTAs, booster clubs, church auxiliaries, and community festivals where a rental gift certificate makes sense as a silent-auction or giveaway item.
What we need from your request
Email us with:
- Organization name and 501(c)(3) status (or equivalent) with EIN if available
- Event name, date, and KC-metro location
- What you're requesting (gift certificate tier, specific item, direct rental for a beneficiary)
- How the donation will be used (silent auction, door prize, direct gift, raffle, etc.)
- Deadline — when you need the physical certificate or confirmation by
- Contact name, phone, email
Timing
We respond within 5 business days. For silent-auction gift certificates and raffle prizes, we need at least three weeks of lead time to prepare and deliver a physical certificate. For direct-beneficiary rental donations, 10 days — we coordinate with the beneficiary directly once approved.
Mailing and delivery
Rental gift certificates are mailed to the organization's listed address at no cost, or can be picked up from our Leavenworth, KS location. For same-week requests, we can email a PDF certificate you can print at the event. Just ask for the expedited option.
What we rarely donate
- Requests from outside the Kansas City metro / Northeast Kansas / Northwest Missouri
- For-profit business fundraisers without a clear community beneficiary
- Political campaign fundraisers
- Anonymous requests without organization documentation
- Back-to-back requests from the same organization in the same year (usually)
A decline isn't a judgment on your cause — our donation inventory is finite. Re-asks in a future year are welcome and occasionally succeed when the first didn't.
